Angela is a Consultant at Synergia with a multi-disciplinary understanding of population health and experience in health and social sector evaluation, research and design.
She has a strong understanding of evaluation theory and design which is supported by well-rounded skills in quantitative, qualitative and mixed methods analysis and literature reviews. Since joining Synergia in 2014, she has supported and led a range of projects including managing large-scale evaluations and building analytical capability within a youth group. Prior to joining Synergia Angela worked for the University of Auckland as a tutor for the Māori and Pacific Admissions Scheme on a range of undergraduate papers including Research Methods in Health.
Angela is dedicated to delivering projects that support the use of evidence to inform decision making and ongoing quality improvement. Her work across strategy, design and evaluation in the health sector provides evaluations informed by an understanding of real-world issues and the development of programmes and activities which are evaluation ready. Her strong engagement and communication skills support the sharing of information in a way that supports understanding and action.
Angela is currently a member of the Aotearoa New Zealand Evaluation Association, a member of the Talking Heads Toastmasters club executive committee and is studying part-time towards a Master’s in Public Health at the University of Auckland with a focus on economic evaluation in the health sector.
